A space
for the work.
Not a performance. Not a social.
A working rehearsal environment.
A small, focused acting group built around one simple idea: the work gets better through repetition. A room where we show up regularly, do the work, and improve. Deliberately small - six people - so that every session counts, every voice is heard, and there is genuine accountability to each other.
01
Warm-up - Short physical and vocal exercises to get out of the head and into the body. Nothing elaborate, just enough to arrive properly.
02
First hour - pairs work - Practice and play with chosen scenes in pairs or small groups. The space to find things, try things, and make mistakes without an audience.
03
Second hour - in front of the room - Scenes are run in front of the group. We do this more than once. The first run is often about getting through the words. The second - and sometimes third, depending on time - are where something real can happen.
04
Feedback - What was working? What did we notice? What might be worth trying differently? Specific, practical, and generous.
The Rehearsal Rooms is not run for profit — it exists purely for the work.
Because we work in pairs, the group needs to run with an even number. If you cannot make a session, please let us know as soon as possible. A heads-up makes all the difference. Please come for the full session - the two and a half hours only function as a whole.
From time to time we will bring in a guest tutor or acting coach to lead part of a session - a director, a casting professional, or a working actor with something specific to share. These sessions will be announced in advance. The cost may be slightly higher on those evenings, but will be kept as reasonable as possible.

Filming
Sessions
Your performance. Your footage. Yours to keep.
Some sessions will include dedicated camera work. For the last hour there will be a cinema camera set up - one on each performer - capturing a mid shot from the chest up, with lighting.
You bring your own memory card and take your footage away to watch in your own time. No one else sees it. It is one of the fastest ways to see what you cannot feel in the moment: where you are pushing, where you are holding, where something is landing that you did not know was there.
The footage is yours to use however you wish - for showreels, self-tapes, auditions, or simply your own reflection. No permissions needed. No restrictions.
Members will always be informed in advance when a filming session is planned, so there are no surprises on the night.
